For what price beauty?

I learned a LOT at the Treatment Center, and I plan to share tidbits now and then... of real concern are all the chemicals in our cosmetics, hair and body care products that are potential carcinogens (cancer-causing) and hormone disrupters.

A website for all women...

Looking for a deodorant with no chemicals in it to potentially cause breast cancer?? Alba Organics Clear Enzyme Deodorant is a SAFE bet!!

Just Added- here's a blog to follow if you are interested in pursuing safer personal care products- I like to learn from those who have gone before, myself. :-) Easier that way!! haha!

It just seems that everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, causes cancer anymore! What are we, as consumers, to do?

You're welcome, Ronda.

April- I know. It can feel frustrating and overwhelming. We consumers can make wise choices and try our best to buy things as close to nature as possible. The world of chemicals has put us all at great risk (whether with the foods we eat or what we apply to our bodies), and 50 years later we're reaping what has been sown. It's sad, it's scary... I just suggest you try to change out what you can. Deodorant is a biggie b/c most breast cancers start under the arm area where the lymph nodes are. To me, that's an important one to address. There are options without the dangerous chemicals.
I am going to do a post soon where I list the 12 (I think it's 12) chemicals we should try to avoid in our personal care products, if at all possible.
I don't mean to be an alarmist or anything- but I do want to share with other women what I learned.
Maybe if we stop buying all "their" chemicals, we can send a message to the big companies! All these chemicals cost pennies, and so they make a huge profit- at OUR risk- when they could be making safer ingredient choices for a little more cost. That should make all us girls really mad....!!

Thanks for these links....stuff like this freaks me out anymore with all the chemicals in things. I feel so bad for the kiddos of this world!

And saw where you are home with a great prognosis! That's wonderful! Enjoy being at home!
