This week, I am giving "thumbs up" to my good friend, Ada Gonzalez. She is an amazing interior decorator in NYC. You can visit her website: http://adasdecoratingsolutions.com/ She offers a fabulous service online for newlyweds who are merging their homes into one. You can subscribe to her very fun, very hip, very helpful e-zine on her site as well!
I am also giving "thumbs up" to an author I recently discovered- Alexander McCall Smith. He has written a series of 5 books about a No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency in Botswana, Africa. Now, maybe that idea doesn't grab you- but let me tell you, this series is SO delightful and charming and just plain great that you will be hooked right away. He is sort of the Botswana Jan Karon of the Mitford series.
I'd love to hear any "thumbs up" from any of you! Share away!

Thumbs up Thursdays!!! GREAT idea! I love the picture of Borat!
I'll blog about washing vegetables tomorrow but wanted you to know that I use equal parts vinegar and water -- them I throw in some salt. I rinse and gently rub my vegetables and fruit in the mixture (or soak my greens for a little bit) and I am good to go. I've seen the pricing on those veggie cleaners and am shocked! How dare they charge so much!
Blessings to you, Gina!

THANKS, Lacy!!!
Hi Gina! Thanks for commenting on my blog! :)
Have you been to read the Pioneer Woman's" blog? For a funny and outstanding daily read + great recipes (um... indulgent recipes lol), home/garden, and photography tips, you can't beat her blog!
Thanks, Christine! And welcome!
Yes, I have visited that blog, as a matter of fact! It IS a great one!
I'm glad I'm not th only one that is having trouble with it. I don't usually have a hard time reading books.
One of my favorite authors is Janet Evanovich, the Stephanie Plum series is a hoot!
Thanks for your comments on my blog. I appreciate having my internet friends to talk to.
I'll have to check her out!
You're welcome- and I know what you mean, Shelli... sometimes I feel like my internet friends are about the only ones I DO have!! We are just all so busy, no time for friends anymore.. and when the kids have moved on, you get lonely!! I love my hubby, and we spend lots of time together, but he is a pretty busy man, too- and not a replacement for girlfriends (although he WILL watch "Legally Blonde" with me!! hahaha!).
I wish we could somehow sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee together!
Hi, I just bopped over from another blog. I like your idea of designating certain days to have their own categories. Very cute! Welcome to blogger!
Hello Gina! I've seen your name around for a few years, via Shelli's blog. Dear Shelli and I used to hang out here in my town before she moved a gazillin miles away. lol
Have a wonderful Friday, Robin
I got lost looking through Ms. Gonzalez's portfolio!
And I love to read. So I'll check our library for any Alexander McCall Smith books... Though it's such a small library that I won't hold much hope. *sigh*
Hi Kathy! Thanks for visiting me! I decided to use the titles to keep me more consistent- we shall see!! haha! I've just started this.
Hi Robin! I'm sure Shelli misses you!! It's hard when a good friend moves away- I lost one to Minnesota that I've never recovered from. haha! She still comes to town once a year or every 2 years.
Hi Crossview! Isn't she amazing? I hope you find the books- you will just love them!
